How are you planning to say thank you to your mum this Mother’s Day? If you really want to spoil her and spend quality time together in luxurious surroundings I have the perfect gift for you.
Treat your mum to a day to remember at Ragdale Hall with a Clarins Mum and Me Time spa day package. Hidden away in picturesque, rural Leicestershire you’ll both experience a slice of heaven.
Everywhere you look you’ll see blissed out groups of girlfriends, quietly chatting, laughing, reading, snoozing and enjoying girlie time together. The spa mainly attracts females making it the ideal place for a mother and daughter bonding day.
Although Ragdale Hall is grand and glamorous it’s not at all pretentious or stuffy.
Instantly you can feel Ragdale’s laid back vibe wash over you. This soothing, mellow atmosphere is what makes Ragdale Hall so perfect. It’s not often you can eat in a decadant 18th century dining room, complete with sparkling chandeliers, wearing just a super soft, fluffy white robe.
The Mother’s Day package includes a full day at the spa (9am- 6pm), a 40-minute Clarins Serenity Facial, a Clarins skincare consultation, a gift to take home (Clarins Eau Dynamisante Body Lotion and Clarins Eau Dynamisante Fragrance), three-course lunch and full use of all facilities and exercise classes.
So how can you spend your day? Prepare to be impressed with their Thermal Spa featuring 12 luxurious heat and water experiences including a colourflow cave, candle pool, indoor/outdoor waterfall pool, heated thought zone, volcanic salt bath, rose sauna and 25-meter swimming pool and whirl spa.
Take a wander down these steps to the outdoor waterfalls and pool…
Or sit and relax, read and chat in these wicker cocoon chairs…
The spa offers 18 fitness classes every day including Pilates, Spin Cycle, Yoga, Zumba, Legs, Tums & Bums, Boot Camp, Tai Chi, Aqua Tone.
If the weather’s good you can relax outside and enjoy Ragdale’s serene, calm garden. Perfectly manicured lawns surround the spa with afternoon-tea tables scattered amongst deck chairs, hanging seat swings and an idyllic summer house. You can also make use of the tennis courts or play croquet, boules or pitch ‘n’ putt.
We arrived at 9am and were given a welcome breakfast drink and juice shot. We quickly headed to the gym for a 10am Studio Cycling class (my first ever spin class). It was harcore and to be honest, half way through I wanted to quit. But at the end of the challenging 50 minute workout I felt good! Really pumped and ready to enjoy a day of relaxing, eating and snoozing.
We spent the next two hours relaxing in the Thermal Spa, starting with a quick swim before enjoying all the different heat rooms and sensory experiences, one after another.
The soul soothing candle pool is my favourite, so tranquil and dreamy – really majestic inside. I also loved the scented steam room where fresh aromatic herbs are released to help you relax and melt any worries away.
After a three course buffet lunch we headed to The Retreat for a hour of pure relaxation (what I really mean is sleep. Hurrah!) I have a 10 month old baby and 2.5 year old toddler so this was quite literally a dream come true.
At 4pm we had our 40-minute Clarins Serenity Facial, which was pure bliss. The treatment included a shoulder, neck and head massage while the Clarins face mask worked it’s magic. Afterwards my face was glowing, my skin felt super soft, moisturized and dewy. You really can’t beat a good facial to make you look and feel alive again.
Everywhere you turn in Ragdale there are cosy hideouts to sit back and chill in, chat with a friend, read a book or just let life pass you by.
We went to The Verandah Bar for a coffee and a gossip over a toasted tea cake. Before heading to the beauty shop for our Clarins skincare consultation and free gifts. What a perfect end to the day.
The Clarins Mum and Me Time spa day is £249 for two Monday- Thursday and £299 for two Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Available from March until September 2017. Visit www.ragdalehall.co.uk for more info.
♥ Happy Mother’s Day for the 26th ♥
The first time I visited Ragdale in 2014 it blew my mind. I was a day spa-virgin. I walked around the grand Victorian manor house wide eyed and amazed. You can read my full review here.
